What is GetPassage.com all about and why did I start it?
|
|
I noticed that reading the bible consistently is very hard. We try to encourage our friends and small group
members to read. But it is very hard to keep each other accountable because we all have busy schedules and we don't
necessarily see each other all the time. So I thought it would be a great idea to keep each other accountable through
a website where a group of friends can track each other's reading progress.

How do I get Started?
|
First you have to create a new account. Then there are three things you can do.
1) If you already know of a group you want to join then just ask them to send an invitation to you.
2) You can create a group and invite your friends.
3) Join a public group.

What is a Public and Private Group?
|
|
A Public Group is a group where anyone on the web can join. A private group is a group where people can join only by invitation.
I have a feeling most groups will be private groups because a group usually represents a circle of friends, small group, or church fellowship.

What can you do in a Group?
|
|
Groups are centered around reading the bible. Group members login and see what the reading for the day is and when they are done
they indicate they are done reading. Other group members can see each other's progress. Group members can start discussions about the reading
or anything they want to communicate to the whole group.

What are Roles in a Group? (Leader, Member, New)
|
Leader
A group must have a leader. The leader can create the reading plan and customize it to fit the group. They can also change roles and delete
group members. There can be more than one leader in a group (Like a Co-Leader). The creator of a group is automatically the leader.
Member
They are the regular participants of the group.
New
This role indicates they just joined the group. The Leader can change thier role to member once they are ready.
